About
There comes a moment...
Isabella Stewart is an artist and writer from Chico Ca. She has been writing since childhood, with a focus on writing, drama and filmmaking in school. She studied Communications at CSU Chico then had a change of path with marriage, children and back to college to study nursing. Isabella published her first book, "Faces of Chico", in a collaboration with author Lois Morrison, in 2002. She published her first solo endeavor in 2003, titled 'Virgin Mother of Three", under the name IA Crumpton. Isabella discovered her love for painting in 2010. She was very active in the art community in Chico for the next year then put her painting on hold to balance her career in health administration and caring for an aging mother and aunt. Although she kept her toe in the water of the art world it wasn’t until July of 2017, that she left health care completely and seized the opportunity to dive back in, following her heart back to a career of art and writing.
Isabella has had multiple solo and group shows over the years. Her paintings are in collections throughout California and Oregon. In October 2017 she founded Joie de Vie Art & Word as the business platform for her creative endeavors.
